The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has announced that it will no longer accept paper memos, following the launch of its Electronic Content Management System.

According to its Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, the ECMS will streamline operations, speed up decision-making, and enhance document accessibility and tracking.

“With the ECMS now in place, we expect faster access to information, improved compliance with audit trails, and secure remote access to documents,” Belgore said.

The Head of ICT, Dr. Marcus Amiolemen, confirmed that Ministry staff members have been trained on the new system to improve efficiency across departments.

Official ECMS email addresses for formal correspondence include, office of the Honourable Minister –hmregistry@fmhud.gov.ng, office of the Minister of State – hmsregistry@fmhud.gov.ng, and office of the Permanent Secretary – psregistry@fmhud.gov.ng.

Belgore added that the launch of the ECMS marks a major milestone in the ministry’s digital transformation journey.
